Manjal restaurant originally debuted in 2013 at Canary Wharf, London. The term Manjal originates from Tamil Language meaning turmeric, which is a spice commonly used in Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine to provide flavour and prevent dangerous bacteria from thriving in the dish.
Our proprietor, sought a completely authentic and high-quality restaurant serving Indian and Sri Lankan food. He himself is passionate about cuisine and continues to inspire our team to give the finest possible service and food to our customers. With the launch of our Loughton restaurant in 2018, we now have two locations while maintaining the originality and quality of our food - so expect loads of spice and flavors that will remind you of South India and Sri Lanka!
Private dining:
Manjal's private dining area with a bar that can accommodate up to 100 guests. The location overlooks the river, with the option of strolling out onto a private balcony to take in the scenery. The views of the river are spectacular from both the bottom floor restaurant and the first story private room. As the river runs by, so will your experience at Manjal, helping you to unwind and enjoy your meal in luxury. At a low volume, soothing music plays in the background, allowing you to interact without having to speak too loudly.Personal preferences can be used to create a custom menu, and the space can be offered in several themes.
Service:
Our bar is well-stocked with a diverse selection of beverages from across the world. Our bar manager is a highly skilled individual who has worked for a number of high-end establishments across the world and is especially excellent at preparing cocktails. Our floor personnel has a range of experience from 2 to 20 years. They are a patient and pleasant crew who are committed to providing you with the greatest possible experience. Great service is one of the many things that we take pride in here at Manjal. We respect and value each and every customer who walks through our doorstep, and we make them feel at ease and at home.

We were named 'Best Restaurant' by Canary Wharf Management, the Metropolitan Police, and Tower Hamlets Council. Manjal is indeed a five-star establishment with a hygiene rating of five stars. We presently have 4.2 stars on Google reviews with over 400 customer feedbacks, and all other consumer review platforms have a minimum of 4 stars. TripAdvisor has awarded us a 'Certificate of Excellence.
